Wedgwood tea experience

To celebrate the launch of its luxury teas and new teaware range Daisy Tea Story, British teaware brand Wedgwood collaborated with food historian Tasha Marks to create a tasting experience.


One of the tea ranges, Taste of History, tells the story of different decorative styles of teapots and each blend harmonises with the design of the teapot.

For the tasting experience, Marks created nibbles from recipes which are adaptations of historical versions from the same year as the tea they have been paired with.


The five blends served in the tasting experience were:
1777: Tea Party, served with cornflower cracknels
1780: Encaustic, served with apricot and honey panforte
1814: Chinese Tiger, served with white gingerbread dragon
1870: Golden Rose, served with Victorian scones with strawberry and rose jam
2010: Pashmina, served with orange marmalade truffles


The colours and patterns used in the new teaware range, Daisy Tea Story, were inspired by the company's archive and combine elements of the company's signature Daisy print. The collection is available in selected shops as well as the company's website. Prices start at £30.
