Designed by Mariëtte van der Ven, this midcentury-inspired birdhouse is made from porcelain and can be dissembled for cleaning between uses.

The product recently met its funding requirements on crowdfunding platform Crowdyhouse and is now being produced in its first edition.

Shipping from March this year, Petbit is part of the fast-growing market for health and activity tracking for pets. The small device clips to a collar and monitors daily activity using motion detection, an accelerometer, and temperature and brightness sensors.

Hisense is showcasing a screen concept that turns a fishtank into a TV at the International Consumer Electronics Show this week. An LED screen is fitted onto a normal fishtank, which is then backlit so that the fish can be glimpsed swimming around behind the colours and imagery on the TV.

Holistic pet food company Lily's Kitchen is hosting a pop-up Christmas grotto for pets in London. Open at 67 Pimlico Road, Monday to Saturday until 21st December, the grotto offers a feast of food, drink and activities - including homemade Christmas dinners for dogs, a festive fancy dress box, massage station, photos with Santa Paws himself, mince pies and mulled wine.
