Redaelli: Live from Proposte 2014

Friday, 9 May 2014

Italian textile brand Redaelli wowed visitors with its range of digitally printed velvets at the opening day of prestigious textile show Proposte.

Four distinctive displays reveal the varying skills of the velvet manufacturer. A work shop setting encourages customers to experiment with mixing and matching fabrics and helps envisage the rainbow bright colour swatches as upholstery.

The brand showcases its expertise in high definition printing with digitally printed velvet realistically imitating the intricate detailing and vibrant colours of Elizabethan clothing. The photographic detail of moss, tree bark and leafy ferns printed onto velvet make you feel like you're entering a lush green forest.

Embossed velvets in the richest shades of deep red, bordeaux and purple exude luxury and sophistication.

A separate installation takes inspiration from world famous jeweller Tiffany & Co, with the brand's shade of blue applied to furniture and lighting. Velvet-clad walls are printed with geometrics influenced by the facets of cut diamonds.
