| Double Space by BMW and Barber&Osgerby |
Designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have partnered with BMW to create an installation named 'Double Space for BMW: Precision & Poetry in Motion' in the V&A's Raphael Gallery. Two moving mirrored structures will be suspended from the ceiling, distorting the view of the cartoons and the visitors' perception of the space.

Still at the V&A, a fleet of drones of different shapes and sizes will be placed in the John Madejski Garden and perform choreographed movements. Visitors will be encouraged to interact with the drones, as the aim is to make the public more aware of the technology. The project is called 'The Drone Aviary' and is headed by Superflux with the support of Swarovski.

To add to the four Design Districts that have been part of the festival for the past few years, two new areas have been incorporated into the official programme: Queens Park Design District, led by Bill Amberg Studio exhibiting a flag design project in Lonsdale Road, and Islington Design District, which will bring together shops, showrooms and cafes in the area.
Trafalgar Square will once again be in the map hosting one of the festival's landmark projects: 'A Place Called Home', a collaboration between AirBnB and four London-based design studios - Jasper Morrison, Patternity, Raw Edges and Studioilse. The designers have been invited to dream up their interpretation of a room within a home, which will be created as four separated structures.
