For the 10th anniversary of
Ferruccio Laviani's iconic lamp Bourgie, Italian design brand
Kartell has invited designers including Patricia Urquiola and Front to re-interpret the piece in a new and fun way, with the results forming part of a travelling exhibition.

The brand's flagship Paris store on Blvd. Saint Germain has gathered together 14 interpretations of Bourgie by Kartell designers including Piero Lissoni, Mario Bellini, Alberto Meda, Lenny Kravitz, Philippe Starck, Eugeni Quitllet, Christophe Pillet, Nendo, Tokujin Yoshioka, Patrick Jouin, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba and Rodolfo Dordoni.

The next stop for the exhibition will be Milan in April, to coincide with the
Salone del Mobile, followed by New York in May during
ICFF.
At the end of the year, Kartell will organise an online auction to sell the pieces, with proceeds going to charity.

2104 is an important year of anniversaries for Kartell: the brand celebrates 65 years from the year of its establishment and 15 years since it opened its museum, while the Bourgie table lamp by Ferruccio Laviani celebrates 10 years in production.
