John Lewis' windows re-enact The Bear & The Hare Christmas advert narrative with characters created from everyday household items that are all stocked in-store.
The animals were designed by creative consultancy Chameleon Visual and produced by Setsquare Staging. The entire process took a year: the windows were unveiled on October 25 and the advert premiered on November 9.
In total, 188 animals have been created from more than 7,000 products stocked in-store. Picnic baskets, wicker bins and a hacked-up leather armchair forms the bear, while household cleaning implements are pieced together to create the hare. Homebuildlife subscribers can see our full VM report here.
