Saint-Gobain Archinovo Awards 2013: winners announced

Maison L
The Architecture de Collection agency and the Saint-Gobain group have annouced the prize-winners of the second Saint-Gobain Archinovo 2013, a French architecture competition devoted to individual houses.

Maison Escalier
The public prize and special distinction from the jury was awarded to 
Moussafir Architectes
 for the design of the Maison Escalier in Paris. Built in 2012, the space is designed to resemble a tree or a staircase. The centre of the building features wet rooms and the different living areas are separated by steps and furnished by acacia floors.

The jury prize was awarded to 
Christian Pottgiesser Architecturespossibles for the Maison L in Louveciennes.

Maison Shishiodoshi
Maison Shishiodoshi in Rezé, built in 2010
 and designed by Avignon-Clouet Architectes, won the sustainable housing special prize. It was designed as a pavilion and has now been extended to provide multiple floors to accommodate a family.
