Interior designer Kit Kemp has created the feature entrance for luxury interiors trade show Decorex this year. Inspired by The Silk Route, the show's 2013 theme, Kemp's design uses a palette of hot spice colours and a luxurious range of textures including embroidered felt, boiled wool and silk.
Called The Weaver of Dreams, the design is split into two sides. One has a luxurious and exotic feel, drawing on Middle Eastern and Central Asian use of pattern and colour.
The other side of the entrance creates an atmosphere of rustic luxury, setting a copper bath against a backdrop of plants and decorative accessories made of natural wood.
Kemp says of the entrance: "There are silks by Fox Linton, boiled wools by Holland & Sherry, embroidered felts by Christopher Farr, and a bespoke carpet by Capitol Carpets plus our own Botanical wallpapers."
Decorex 2013 closes today. Homebuildlife subscribers can access our full trend report from the show over the next few days.
