Endless Stair at LDF 2013
Monday, 16 September 2013
The London Design Festival's Landmark Project this year is Endless Stair, a timber installation by dRMM that is inspired by the optical illusions of Dutch graphic artist M. C. Escher.
Installed outside the Tate Modern until 10th October, the piece is open for visitors to climb from 9am until dusk each day. Those who climb to the very top of the piece can enjoy views of the London skyline across the River Thames.
Endless Stair is a collaboration with the American Hardwood Export Council, a longtime supporter of the London Design Festival, and is designed to show off the strength and structural properties of tulipwood cross-laminated timber.
