Kinetic Notations by Lola De La Mata

Friday, 28 June 2013

Showing at New Designers Part 1 this week, Lola De La Mata's Kinetic Notations combines film, sound, photography and surface design to create a performance piece inspired by data glitches and city planning.

In the piece, three triangular columns are suspended in front of 2,083 mirrored sequins, giving a shimmering and illusory effect to the installation. The pieces are accompanied with music by Luke Deane and a performance by dancer Rosie Terry.
