During last month's FIAC (International Contemporary Art Fair) in Paris, high-end carpet brand Tai Ping organised an art exhibition of its own. Exploring the boundaries between art and industrial design, the brand turned its rugs into pieces of art.
The handmade carpets of the Needknot collection were designed by nine contemporary artists of all disciplines and exhibited in the brand's Parisian showroom.

The idea behind this conceptual collection came from gallery owner Franziska Kessler and art historian Marianne Karabelnik. In silk, wool or linen, each carpet is produced in limited editions of a maximum eight pieces.
