On Thursday 8th November 2012, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will hold the fourth edition of its annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball. The fundraising event will see Battersea's Ambassador, British supermodel David Gandy, lead the dogwalk for an auction of exclusive dog couture designed by fashion designers including Giles Deacon, Henry Holland, Julien Macdonald, Stella McCartney, Mulberry, Gareth Pugh, Zandra Rhodes, Philip Treacy, Matthew Williamson, and Vivienne Westwood.

Gandy will present the designs alongside fashion journalist Hilary Alexander, and the event will be hosted by TV personalities Paul O'Grady and Amanda Holden.

Battersea's Chief Executive, Claire Horton, said of the event: “This will be the most wonderful and unique fashion fundraiser and we know our dogs will really enjoy it. Front row at Collars & Coats will be the place to be on 8 November and we can’t wait to see Battersea dogs groomed and dressed in canine couture by the most influential and iconic designers from the world." Since it was founded in 1860, the charity has rescued and rehomed more than 3.1 million cats and dogs.
