Each designer was challenged to create an experimental concept design, and then a commercial interpretation which could be mass-produced.
Front's Surface Tension lamp uses an LED light source which will last 50,000 hours and will be covered by 3 million different bubble lampshades during its lifetime.

Nacho Carbonell's Future of Lighting bulb uses rubber to subvert the archetype of the cold, rigid light source, and also create a much more durable product.

FormaFantasma's Light Species resembles a leaf more than a lightbulb. The limited-edition concept piece uses polymers explored in their previous project Botanica, while the mass-production version is intended to be used either as a single piece or as a forest of lit leaves.
