Beatrice Brovia and Nicolas Cheng have created a collection of tableware and vases that are repaired using 3D printed reconstructions of their missing or damaged parts.

Musician and entrepreneur Will.i.am has collaborated with 3D Systems to launch a 3D printer that uses filament recycled from used Coca-Cola bottles.

Available later this year, the Ekocycle Cube will retail at $1,199 and will be supplied with 25 print designs selected by Will.i.am. The printer will be able to create objects up to 6 inches cubed, using filament made of 25% recycled plastic.

3D Systems' new ChefJet 3D printer, which uses edibles such as chocolate and flavoured sugar as its raw ingredients, is the talk of CES this week. Scheduled to go on sale later this year, both the ChefJet (which prints in monochrome) and the ChefJet Pro, which can produce full colour, are printing samples live at the fair for visitors to taste-test.

These intricate sculptures by Joshua Harker are all 3D printed. Harker uses the technology to create delicate surface pattern, articulated parts and forms inside forms. The art works are currently on show at the 3D PrintShow, which runs at London's Business Design Centre until tomorrow.

British designer Ross Lovegrove's new furniture collection for Vondom combines the brand's expertise in advanced roto-moulded technology and the designer's ongoing research into transferring digital processes into contemporary design. Named Biophilia, because of its fluid organic shapes, the pieces push the boundaries between material, structure and form into a new modern territory.
