Belgium Is Design at Maison & Objet September 2013 |
Maison & Objet runs until today at Paris' Nord Villepinte exhibition hall, and the latest edition of one of the biggest interiors trade shows presented an array of trends across all categories.
Continuing from the January edition, the dotted trend was again key for furniture and decorative accessories. Dots and circles develop to become structures: from wooden stools at Bleu Nature to natural fibre wall art at Darono.

Stacked lamp bases were a key trend in lighting, transforming floor and table lamps into sculptural and decorative pieces. Designers combine bright colours and play with the asymmetry of the components.

Products with bases dipped in colour, such as this glassware collection presented by Purho and designed by Karim Rashid, still have strong appeal, as does combination of yellow and grey.
