British mixed media artist Caroline Rhys-Lewis specialises in porcelain pieces that have a functional form but sculptural qualities - often incorporating fine materials such as feathers and lace into her work.
A recent graduate of Colchester School of Art and Design, Rhys-Lewis uses her work to preserve stories and memories from her life, so that each one is deeply personal. She says of her work: "The pieces may not function in the traditional sense, they do not need to, but for me the aura they create and the story they represent is enough.”
