Pepe Heykoop

IN Residence is an annual project made up of thematic workshops, exhibitions and publications dedicated to experimental design. In Italy, it is one of the most interesting meetings for reflection and comparison.

Elisa Strozyk

For every edition, some young internationally known designers are invited to work during the few days of the workshop together with selected students. Two appointments scheduled in November for the next IN Residence # 4: the workshop at the Residence De Parc (8-12) and the IN Residence Talk at Palazzo Bertalazone (12), as part of the great exibition Meet Design.

Marcel Besau + Eva Marguerre

The IN Residence project is curated by architects Barbara Brondi and Marco RainĂ² who founded in 2002 in Turin studio brh+, that is dedicated to architectural design and to design seen as a broad-spectrum process.

After Nature Through Artifice (2008), Matter Matters (2009), Visualising Transformation (2010), the topic for the 2011 edition is Sense Memory. Not only an investigation on the interaction between the senses and memory, but also a reflection on the relationship that combines perceptive faculties with those of memory and emotion.

Daniel Rybakken

The protagonists of this edition are BCXSY from Eindhoven (Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto), Marcel Besau + Eva Marguerre from Hannover, Maarten De Ceulaer from Bruxelles, Pepe Heykoop from Amsterdam, Daniel Rybakken from Goteborg and Oslo, Elisa Strozyk from Berlin. With 24 students, they are putting into practice a new teaching model and a cultural project of great interest. A laboratory of creativity to check on.
