Barbare candle holders by Slow Design
Italian studio Slow Design, which collaborates with Tuscan artisans to restore and reinvent objects for the home, has launched a new collection of candle holders made of steel, scraps of leather and handcrafted wood.

Belgian industrial designer Ramy Fischler has designed a new collection of rugs for luxury flooring brand Tai Ping that is inspired by the movements of ocean waves and rivers, and the organic forms of pebbles, rock and stone.

Founded in 2012, Austrian design studio Goods & Better offers a range of notebooks, wrapping paper, Christmas cards, recipe cards, weekly planners and pencil cases, with each product inspired by the studio's travels around the globe. Furniture collection by Farm

Brazilian fashion brand Farm has launched its first furniture line, in collaboration with design brand Oppa. The collection, which comprises two chairs, a dinner table and a stool, is made of wood and has a pared-back design approach. Nature-inspired prints, such as flowers and butterflies, are used throughout.

Berlin-based tradefair Fruit Logistica - the annual destination for fruit and vegetable buyers looking for the next big thing in taste, shape, texture and colour - closed the doors of its 2013 edition on Friday.

New hybrids unveiled at the fair include tiny berries developed from kiwis, vibrantly coloured apricots, and a nutty-flavoured vegetable developed by crossing Brussels sprouts with kale.
