Studio Droulers Architecture was founded in Milan in 2000, after the two sisters had gathered design experience: Nathalie trained at the Politecnico di Milano and produced her early work as an architect in New York with Clodagh Design. Virginie graduated from the Parsons School of Design and subsequently worked at Berenter Greenhouse and Webster.

The studio works with the craftsmen and crafts that have always distinguished Italy: Murano glassblowing, Florentine bronzes, Lombard cabinetry, Italian woven fabrics and marbles. The book's 250 illustrations chart the firm’s international projects - created in Cannes, New York, Cortina, London and Milan.
