Shipping from March this year, Petbit is part of the fast-growing market for health and activity tracking for pets. The small device clips to a collar and monitors daily activity using motion detection, an accelerometer, and temperature and brightness sensors.
Owners can classify their dog as lazy, moderately active, or active, and set daily fitness and activity goals accordingly from their smartphone app. Tractive also offers a Pet Remote, which allows users to send messages and commands to their dog using a vibrating collar.
Tractive was showing at CES, the world's largest consumer electronics trade show, last week. Homebuildlife subscribers will be able to read our full report from the show this week.
