Mini Moderns Remix at East London Design Store

Wednesday 18 September 2013

British design brand Mini Moderns invited a selection of other designers to 'remix' its products for the London Design Festival this year. The results, on show at the East London Design Store this week, range from lavender pillows by Daniela Gargiulo, made in the brand's C60 cassette tape print, to patterned glassware by Rimmington Vian.

Each designer chose a pattern or colour from Mini Moderns' collections, which include The Buddha of Suburbia and a range of environmentally-friendly paint, and then reinterpreted it in their own work.

Glassmakers Rimmington Vian re-imagined the Darjeeling wallpaper pattern as the base of a carafe and matching drinking glasses, while Group Design has teamed up with Mini Moderns to use their patterns for a range of lampshades.

Mini Moderns Remix runs at the East London Design Store until Sunday.
