London's Fashion and Textile Museum throws a spotlight on three female textile designers who brought new life to British textiles in the years following the end of WWII, in an exhibition which runs until 16 June 2012.

Following the drab austerity of the Second World War, Britain was hungry for an aesthetic revolution. Pioneering change and fulfilling that demand were three women - Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag and Marian Mahler, whose positive, avant-garde approach ushered in a brave new world of British textile design.

Their bold ideas are celebrated in this colourful exhibition, capturing a moment in design history and offering inspiration to contemporary textile and print designers.
