Bridport Antiques: vintage inspiration

Wednesday, 28 August 2013

At Bridport Antiques quarter in Dorset, pottery and furniture from as early as the 1700s and ranging through to the mid 20th century are revisited and inspire shape, surface pattern and colour.

Artifacts are colour coordinated into eye-catching displays of white enamel and piercing hydrangea blue.

Jade green enamel and ceramic glazes and combined with ivory and white accents for a fresh country inspired display.

A cluster of mid-century ceramics inspire new vase forms and embossed textural surfaces.

The mottled glaze of this Bretby jug appears to be made from marble.
