The Parisian branch of Carpenters Workshop Gallery is currently hosting the first exhibition of Brazilian design duo Humberto and Fernando Campana in a French gallery. For the occasion, the designers have created the Ocean Collection, an unexpected evolution of the Sushi series they released in 2002.
At that time, they were looking for a way to create padded furniture without using the traditional techniques. As a result, the objects are made out of a combination of various materials, including bits of felt, plastic rugs and foam rubber.
The shades of blues, greens and whites create an aquatic atmosphere within the exhibition space. The pendant mirrors move and turn inside the room, reflecting their surroundings accordingly.
