Century of the Child: Growing by Design, 1900–2000
Tuesday, 7 August 2012
The Museum of Modern Art's current exhibition explores the history of kids' design over the past century, from school architecture to playgrounds, furniture, toys and books. Curated by Juliet Kinchin and Aidan O’Connor, the show is the largest ever overview of its kind, and has garnered glowing reviews from the likes of The New York Times.
Kids' lifestyle professionals not able to visit it in person can make do with the extensive online resources MoMA has provided: an impressive interactive website, plus its ongoing Tumblr project which will document one exhibit a day for the entire 100 days of the exhibition. Check out the archive so far here, and keep checking in until the show ends on 5 November 2012.
