Nic Webb at the Dock Garden Festival

Wednesday, 23 May 2012

Currently on show at Tom Dixon's studio at Portobello Dock in West London is the work of British craftsman Nic Webb. Specialising in wooden spoon carving, Webb takes an organic approach to making, preferring his pieces to look as if they were grown or formed through a process of natural erosion.

A selection of the spoons and bowls are on show and for sale alongside the work of other skilled artists and makers at the Dock Garden Festival until 10th June, which is being held as part of the Chelsea Fringe Festival. On the 26th May, Webb will be carrying out live Spoon Carving demonstrations using traditional tools on site at Portobello Dock.
