HBL Book of the Week: Remake It Home
Thursday, 3 May 2012
Remake It Home: The Essential Guide to Resourceful Living by Henrietta Thompson (Universe, 2009) offers a thoughtful guide to the home-hacking movement - which forms the basis of our Hack-tivate macro trend, and was one of the strongest themes to emerge from this year's Milan Design Week.
The book presents twenty practical projects, as well as offering inspiration from the greatest examples of repurposed art and design in recent history; from Ron Arad's car seat chair Rover, designed in 1981, to Stuart Haygarth's portfolio of found object sculptures and lighting.
