The flagship store of renowned Stockholm interiors brand Svenskt Tenn has undergone a major refurbishment after closing its doors for several months last year. WGSN-homebuildlife went to take a look.
Svenskt Tenn was established by Estrid Ericson in 1924 and has become
known for its timeless home furnishings and accessories, which feature
the distinctive furniture and textile designs of Austrian designer and
architect Josef Frank.
Having originally opened its doors in 1927, the store was in need of
modernisation and the project set out to enlarge the whole space,
allowing the store to more clearly display its eclectic mix of textiles
and furnishings.
The project, undertaken by British architectural firm
HMKM, has even made room for a stylish new tea room on the second floor.
