Benjamin Hubert's 2011 Christmas card |
Industrial designer
Benjamin Hubert is not the only one to be marking this Christmas with an alternative tree. Click through to read about the innovative new twists on the traditional pine tree - including paper, wall-mounted, electronic and recycled variants.
At this year's Christmas press previews, Lisa Rutherford of John Lewis
told WGSN-homebuildlife that sales of alternative Christmas trees
outstripped the sales of traditional green Christmas trees in 2010, with
stocks running out as early as October.
In our latest VM report, we find inspiration for those who are short on space and looking for
alternative ways in which to create a festive feel. These alternative
trees are reusable, require no maintenance, take up less space and cost
less than a traditional tree, and at the same time make an individual
design statement in the home.
