Homebuildlife on the road

Friday 2 September 2011

Suited Case by Eric de Nijs

September sees the WGSN-homebuildlife team hit the road for a busy schedule of talks, seminars, workshops and judging panels. Here's a guide to when and where you'll be able to watch our macro trends and consumer insight brought to life.

Note Design Studio: a reference from WGSN A/W 12/13 macrotrend Radical Neutrality

This Sunday, our Interiors Editor Ali Morris will be presenting our S/S 2012 macro trends at Autumn Fair in Birmingham. Three presentations throughout the day will outline key directions for both product development and brand strategy. Head to the specially-designed WGSN Trend Bar throughout the duration of the tradefair, too, to find out more about what we do.

WGSN-homebuildlife's Creative Director Lisa White will be talking the audience at the ROOM Home Intelligence Conference through our macrotrends this Thursday 8th September, and will also be speaking at Design Junction on Friday 23rd September, right in the middle of the London Design Festival. This will be followed by a Pecha Kucha at the same venue later that evening.

SuperNature collection by Soft World (Beatrice Waanders): reference in WGSN A/W 12/13 macrotrend Eco Hedonism

On the 28th September, we'll be hosting a workshop at the World Retail Congress in Berlin. Lisa White will speak alongside WGSN CEO Susanna Kempe and Think Tank Senior Editor Ruth Marshall-Johnson about the exciting emerging trends in visual merchandising, and about our macro trends for the A/W 12/13 season.

The 30th September will see Lisa take her place on the jury of horticultural legend Mr Mantero's awards, in the company of design luminaries from renowned brands like Missoni.

And if you can't make it to see us at these events, you may well catch a glimpse of us treading the aisles at the numerous tradeshows we're visiting this month. We will be out and about covering events such as Maison & Objet, 100% Design and Decorex, the London Design Festival, Glee and Autumn Fair in Birmingham and Cersaie in Bologna - and live reports from these shows will be posted on the blog, hot off the press, while the show is still running. Stay tuned!
