The Crafts Council have released their policy briefing for June 2011, a document which details recent measures taken by the British government which will affect the craft industry.
The piece makes for interesting reading, highlighting the key aims of the new White Paper for giving and philanthropy, the role craft could play in the economic development of rural areas, the rejuvenation of the local high street (including independent and craft retailers), and how to protect Britain's diverse cultural organsiations in the face of huge cuts.
