From 11th to 20th October 2012, Parisian showroom Silvera Wagram will present the first retrospective exhibition of designer and interior architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. With an education in sculpture as well as product design, the French designer's trademark is work that is fluid, organic and sensual - but always structured at the same time.

Century of the Child: Growing by Design, 1900–2000



The Museum of Modern Art's current exhibition explores the history of kids' design over the past century, from school architecture to playgrounds, furniture, toys and books. Curated by Juliet Kinchin and Aidan O’Connor, the show is the largest ever overview of its kind, and has garnered glowing reviews from the likes of The New York Times.

Design ME: customisable electric transport


Created by a group of Italian companies after an extensive period of research and planning, ME is a new electric scooter that can be completely customised. Thanks to a special online configurator, customers can have fun choosing colour frames, covers, knobs, wheels, tyres, seats and plenty of other options.

Alianoid by Minwoo Lee



South Korean designer Minwoo Lee created this anthropomorphic humidifier with a sci-fi look. Called Alianoid, the device emits steam from two large holes placed on the side of its head. It is possible to control intensity and check how much water is left through a user-friendly control panel in the base.

System For Recording The Sun's Path Across The Sky by Craig Barrows



University of Brighton graduate designer Craig Barrow has designed a glass sculpture which scorches marks into its wooden base according to the sun's path across the sky. The hand-crafted device can be used to document specific events, or simply as a decorative piece.

Gravhøj by Thea Brøgger



Graduate designer Thea Brøgger has designed a kitchen spoon for everyday use that also functions as storage for treasured items. The project reinterprets the Danish concept "gravhøj", or "burial mound", offering an enduring memory of loved items and experiences using a discreet method.

Coffee cup by Patrick Norguet for McDonalds

Following on from the new interior design of McDonalds restaurants in France by Patrick Norguet, the American fast food giant asked the French product designer to design this coffee cup. It is currently being given away in the French branches with every "meal + coffee" deal. The design a useful basic in ceramics, with a silicon sheathing that comes in six colours. The new restaurant layout is now being implemented in Italy, Switzerland and Holland.

Coca-Cola concept by Erin McGuire



This conceptual design by Canadian graphic designer Erin McGuire is inspired by classic 1980s arcade game Space Invaders. Coca-Cola's famous curling logo is replaced by a low-res, pixellated version, complete with player's score display.
