Luminaire by Rem Koolhas and Swarovski at Venice Architecture Biennale

Dutch architect Rem Koolhas has collaborated with Swarovski to create Luminaire, a lighting installation that surrounds the entrance to Monditalia, one of the exhibitions that takes place at this year's edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale.

The structure, which highlights the traditional Venetian archways, measures 6 metres in height by 20 metres in length. It is made of thousands of coloured glass light bulbs and 15kg of Swarovski Crystal Rock, held in place by a wooden frame.

Monditalia fills the halls of the Arsenale.The 14th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia runs from June 7 to November 23 2014.
