The residency program by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès creates a dialogue between artists and artisans. Emerging contemporary artists are given the opportunity to use materials that would otherwise be difficult to source, such as crystal, leather, silver and silk, and benefit from the expertise of highly-skilled artisans.

Between 2010 and 2013, sixteen residencies have been organised, each one taking place at a different site in the Hermès manufacturing division. The sixteen works will be on show at the Palais de Tokyo, in Paris, in an exhibition called Condensation, until September 9th.
