The 2013 edition of the Chicago International Home + Housewares Show, one of the biggest and most important housewares fairs in the world, showcased products in a wide colour palette. From bins to mugs, from glassware to baking goods, everything was coloured.

Another major trend seen at the show are products made from eco-friendly materials. Organic cottons and bamboo as well as materials made from waste and biodegradable resin appeared specially in cleaning tools such as brushes and brooms and food preparation utensils like bowls and spatulas.
