Spargo lamp by Felix McCormack

Friday, 10 August 2012

British designer Felix McCormack showed these floor-standing concrete and turned oak lamps at One Year On, the showcase of makers at the start of their careers that take places each summer at New Designers.

Called Spargo, the lamps are batch produced by hand and designed to serve as mood lighting or reading lamps. McCormack works from a studio in Cornwall, south England, and describes his practice as "a playful mix of industrial design coupled with a studious respect for traditional making skills."

Spargo is available in both articulated and original versions, with red flex cord, and can be ordered online directly from the designer.
