Toast: A hand-crafted Christmas

Thursday, 26 July 2012

British retailer Toast will reveal its artisan-themed collection of decorations and gifts for Christmas 2012 in stores this autumn. WGSN-homebuildlife profiles some of the highlights.

Solid-coloured crakers in Toast's signature warm bright hues are bound with contrasting patterned ribbons for a simple and effective handmade look.

Mini bunting and flower garlands have been crafted from handmade paper by Nepalese artists.

Using the skills of craftspeople around the world, Toast is to launch baubles hand-blown from recycled glass in Damascus and paper-mache baubles hand-painted in India.

The brand's industrial fairy lights will be relaunched after last season's popularity. Designed to appeal to both genders, the product was displayed at the press preview draped around a series of three cardboard-riveted suitcases.

Gifts and decorations are presented in boxes, tied with ribbons and uniquely wrapped for that special finishing touch.
