Jade Devall: hand-drawn print & pattern

Friday, 6 July 2012

Staffordshire-based designer and illustrator Jade Devall specialises in hand-drawn prints for textiles and ceramics, each one inspired by the simple pleasures of life. "I like to gaze out of my studio window and draw objects which then become narratives,” says Devall.

All of Devall’s work is first drawn by hand then resized, coloured and made into a pattern using Photoshop. Tea towels and cushions are digitally printed onto 100% cotton, and china is decorated using decals.
