Metamorphosis_Behind, After or Beyond by Martino Gamper |
The evocative Metamorphosis_Behind, After or Beyond is an installation by artist and designer Martino Gamper, the winner of the first Moroso Award for Contemporary Art. Established in collaboration with the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Contemporanea of Monfalcone in 2011, the award aims to promote and support emerging artists who live and work in Italy.

Metamorphosis_Behind, After or Beyond by Martino Gamper |
Seeking to create a strong graphic impact, the artist has gathered together some of the most famous pieces by the leading designers who work with Moroso, mixing and mingling their structures to create new foam seating upholstered with fabric scraps.

Both shows follow Moroso's topic of metamorphosis, in the broadest sense of the term, and are open until 2 September in the Hangar Bicocca in Milan (via Chiese 2), one of the most important centres for contemporary culture in the city.
