Solar-powered ice pops

Wednesday, 13 June 2012

Designer Kelli Anderson decorated the outside of this bright orange ice cream truck, which has toured the US handing out free ice pops to promote the benefits of solar energy.

Anderson's popsicle-shaped infographics reveal more information about solar energy as patrons get closer to the truck - including the startling fact that if just half the houses in the US were equipped with standard solar panels, the entire country could run on the solar energy they harvested.

The project is a collaboration between popsicle brand Good Pop, Jason Anello of creative agency Manifold, and solar power company Sungevity.
