Embroidery student Sophie Parry displayed a range of highly tactile fabrics - inspired by the Welsh landscape, the fluidity of rivers, and mountainous terrain - at New Designers this week.
It has taken Parry 3 years of experimentation to develop the secret technique she uses to raise the surface of the material and create a unique, abrasive effect.
The fabrics are intended for fashion purposes, but could also be translated into interiors.
