Salone Satellite: product highlights

An artisanal approach to detail, especially in wood mixed and matched with other materials, emerged as a key trend at this year's Salone Satellite.

Among the product highlights were Taiwanese designer Jackie Wu's Cracked vases - a series that mixes wood and marble and highlights the imperfection of the wood with bright green lacquer.

Hanagasumi tableware by Japanese design duo Monochro is made from the bark of the cherry tree and mixed with bright bands of colour. Each piece is crafted by hand and the Hanagasumi includes cups and tea canisters of several sizes.

Y Lamp by Monica Thurne


The Y Lamp by Monica Thurne mixes wood and powder coated metal in this season's important hues of muted pastels.
