To celebrate the launch of the 6.9L Artisan Stand Mixer, KitchenAid have joined forces with Bompas & Parr to host A Culinary Odyssey - an evening which will explore the future of food using iconic meals and visions of the future from classic science-fiction.

Bompas & Parr have been working with food designers, micro-nutritionists, set builders and biochemists, employing cutting edge technology to create a menu of food innovation, including the notoriously violence-sharpening Milk Plus from A Clockwork Orange, synthetic meat inspired by 1952 sci-fi novel The Space Merchants, low gravity food, food pills, the infamous Solyent Green, and Cookies of Nostalgia straight out of The Matrix.

A Culinary Odyssey takes place on 21st March at One Marylebone, London. For more Bompas & Parr, read about the crazy golf the duo has planned for Selfridges' rooftop this summer, the acid-green boating lake they created last summer, and their new exploding wedding cake service. And as always, WGSN-homebuildlife subscribers can read more widely about gastronomic innovation and trends here.
