365 - Charming Everyday Things

365 - Charming Everyday Things, a travelling exhibition of normality organised by DGT Architects, has set off across Japan to showcase its collection of everyday Japanese items such as chopsticks, envelopes and drinking glasses.

The exhibition was first held in Paris at the Bastille Design Centre, a converted 19th century metal factory. A collection of everyday Japanese objects displayed on a series of plinths sought to encourage viewers to consider each item anew and in a different context, with each exhibit also available to purchase in an adjoining shop.

The show will now exhibit across Japan at A-factory Aomori, Tokyo central station, Pola Gallery Ginza, and finally the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art - with a different experience being designed by the curators to suit each venue.
