Milan’s newest five star hotel,
Château Monfort,
opened its doors on 17 January and is located on Corso Concordia, a stone’s throw away
from the glitzy Montenapoleone district. The magnificent Art Nouveau
building boasts 77 rooms and suites, all decorated with fairytales, opera and ballet serving as
inspiration.
Pastel shades, antique furniture and fittings, travel trunk dressing tables,
canopy beds and tinted glass walls create an
almost magical atmosphere. Those who can't stay should still visit the Mezzanotte bar and
the Rubacuori restaurant, which serves up delicious and healthy
regional Italian food in a setting of baroque furniture, ceramic
taxidermy and patchworked wallpaper.
