Free Port by Marti Guixé

Marti Guixé has designed a new cabinet for BD Barcelona. Called Free Port, the design comprises a series of modular boxes on metal legs, which can be added to, reduced and playfully reconfigured for different purposes.

Each module is made of MDF, with veneer edging, and is lacquered with high gloss colour on the outside and a matt finish on the inside.

Guixé says of the modules, "They have a dynamic both in their volume and in their position and finish."

Free Port is the latest cabinet in a series of designer collaborations by BD Barcelona - with previous pieces including the Multileg by Jaime Hayon.
