Marie Coquine at Via Garibaldi

Monday, 5 December 2011

The big lamp Marie Coquine is inspired, its designer Philippe Starck explains, by Mary Poppins. An umbrella is opened on a crystal rain while, at the other end of the steel stand, there is a camel-coloured leather punching bag. Here the Marie Coquine is showed at Via Garibaldi 12 in Genoa.

Marie Coquine has been produced as a numbered and limited edition of 120; and for Italy, Baccarat has chosen to present this sculptural object in the historical rooms of Via Garibaldi 12.

This sixteenth-century shop in Genoa combines the history of the place with the newest trends in international design - creating a successful mix of old and new for a unique concept store.
