The
micro gardening trend, seen by WGSN-homebuildlife at
Tokyo's Interior Lifestyle 2011 expo, is spreading to Hong Kong, as
ECOLS (profiled as one of the
top ten interior shops in Asia in our recent report) is now stocking the space-saving Frame and Komidori plant by
Midorie Design.
Easy to maintain, the plants are made with a patented soil substitute called Pafcal. 50% lighter than typical soil, Pafcal doesn't require much water and doesn’t require fertilizer, therefore minimising bacteria generation. It also keeps moisture and oxygen balanced from top to bottom without leaking and so, minimises a breeding ground for insects.
