Shanghai’s Museum of Glass is part of the city’s campaign to become a globally recognised cultural and creative centre by launching 100 museums in a decade.

Housed in a former glassmaking workshop of Shanghai Glass Co., enameled glass is used for the façade, and black lacquered glass is used in the interior - on cases, floor, furniture, and walls.
The design of the space and exhibits and the use of various media help create an interactive and participatory experience where the visitor is directed through the story of glass.
