Situated in the Venture Lambrate district during the Milan furniture fair, Mindcraft11 will be highlighting the best of Danish craft and design, showing pieces from thirteen different practitioners that range from one-offs and prototypes to objects already in production. The organisers describe the overall ethos thus: "This is back to basics, it’s quality, function and an emphasis on materials."

Mindcraft is newly curated this year by Cecilie Manz, who hopes that the recession will have re-aligned design's priorities: "In the Nordic region we have been renowned for outstanding practical value, visual humility, an exquisite sense of materials as well as pure and simple aesthetics. Now that the era of abundance is drawing to a close, perhaps we’ll be able to rediscover and cultivate some of the basic values in our work."
